This single log store will hold up to 1.5 cubic metres of logs.  The self-assembly kit includes all the the treated timber, screws, metal brackets and a pre-fitted felt roof.  All you need is a suitable flat surface to put your log store on, a hammer, a ladder, an extra pair of hands, and preferably a powered screwdriver.  The modular construction allows you to add an extra module if you need to increase the size of your log storage so that you can allow logs to season for a longer period.

Ideally, your log store should be sited close to the house for easy access in the winter months. Logs need to be kept dry so if you are having to site your log store in  a position where the prevailing wind and rain will penetrate there is an optional weather shield available.

With regular treatment with a standard wood preservative your log store will last for many years. However there is a more substantial cedar shingle roof kit as an optional extra. 

We are now able to supply logs from the same supplier as the Log Store. We find many of our customers wish to buy a load of logs at the same time as ordering the log store to save on the extra delivery charge.  There are two types of logs that we can supply, Kiln Dried Logs and Seasoned Logs.

 Kiln dried logs have a moisture content of around 20% making them ideal for burning on wood burning stoves where you will get the maximum fuel efficiency from your stove. These logs, sourced from sustainable British woodland are ready cut into 25cm lengths. 50 nets are supplied which is enough to fill the Log Store.

The Seasoned Logs have a moisture content of 30% - 50%, depending on our seasonal weather. If being used on an open fire mixed with other fuel these logs can be used straight away, but if you intend to use them on a woodburning stove or as your only source of fuel on an open fire you should store them for a further season to bring the moisture content down to around 20%.  These hardwood logs are sourced from sustainable British woodland and have been ready cut into 25cm lengths. 50 bags are supplied which is enough to fill the Log Store.
