The larger of our 2 Ecofans the 802 is ideal for domestic applications. Ecofans have a fan powered by heat which circulates warm air created by the stove into the room. They need no mains power or batteries.
The Ecofan has a thermoelectric module which acts as a small generator to power the motor of the fans.
When a heat difference is experienced by the ecofan generator module between the surfaces at the top and bottom, it pumps out electricity. The base of the fan heats the bottom surface of the module, and the top of the module is kept cool by the tops cooling fins.

EASY TO OPERATE : The Ecofan starts automatically. The stoves temperature will adjust the speed.

INCREASED EFFICIENCY : By circulating warm air directly into the living
room the ecofan will increase efficiency. Usually a lot of heat will rise
immediately towards the ceiling.

COSTS NOTHING TO RUN : No mains power, no batteries needed, no bills.

It is made from extruded aluminium and will therefore not rust.

In the base of the Ecofan are bi-metal strips to help prevent it over-heating.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO :

A. Read and follow the instructions on correct placement of the fan. This will ensure satisfactory long term use.

B. Operate the stove within the temperature range of "best operation".

We recommend you use a stove pipe thermometer (shown below).
